De Vier Elementen

The cd De Vier Elementen was recorded early 1999, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Dutch Recorder Orchestra Praetorius. The cd contains adaptations of the well-known baroque compositions "Water Music" and "Music for the Royal Fireworks" by Georg Friedrich Händel. The other compositions are composed especially for the occasion about one of the four elements. These are:

• Air: "Trappen in de Lucht" by Matthias Maute.
• Water: "The Water-Call" by Willem Wander van Nieuwkerk.
• Fire: "Suzko Erroberak" by Wilfred J. Reneman.
• Earth: "Juego de Galilei by Paul T. Leenhouts.
