Romantic in a way

A recorder is not directly the first instrument that comes to mind when thinking about the Romantic era, but it turns out to be perfectly possible to adapt works of Rossini and Beethoven in such a way that they can be successfully performed by a recorder orchestra. The Dutch Recorder Orchestra Praetorius will play works from Rossini, Holst and Beethoven.
