For all ages up to about 10 years old.
The workshop is given by Margreet Buijs and Christine Hermans-Bergh. A mini theatre festival with everything that goes with it. Dancing, singing, playing the recorder, and a small production as the objective. This takes up a whole afternoon.

John Philip Sousa was the king of marches. The great king! His music for brass bands was unbelievably popular. He made a number of musical tours around the beginning of the 20th century. The great percussionist was the best-paid musician/composer on the books. He also made a number of grand tours with his orchestra. His music is not particularly difficult. In both workshops, we will be marching through the hall. Conductors: Robert Andriesen and Norbert Kunst.

Swing
The music of America's black population. A lot of rhythm, a lot of bass, and that swing! Jazz has a number of styles, of course, but in this workshop, we will be concentrating on Swing. What is it, where did it come from? We will be performing a series of great numbers on reccorder in a big-band setting. Conductors: Robert Andriessen en Norbert Kunst.

The last two workshops will be offered twice, to give everyone a chance to participate.
